Agora Gallery in Chelsea, New York represents talented and accomplished national and international contemporary artists.

Whether self-taught or educated in art colleges and having participated in numerous juried art contests, art exhibitions and art shows, qualities of technique and artistic expression have placed these fine artists among the most acclaimed and rewarded on the international art scene.

Igor Eugene Prokop - Hungary

Selected artist in the Chianciano Biennale of Contemporary Art 2009

Aaron Lacey - Canada

His work "Omega" has been acquired by the NYPD. Lacey donated a signed custom framed print of "OMEGA" the print raised $15,000.00 for a Cancer Hospice. His work "Patriots" is in the collection of the PRO Football Hall of Fame Canton,Ohio.

Albert Barcilon - USA

To help a young girl fight her battle against cancer; artist Albert Barcilon and his wife Michelle set up the “Andrea Rodriguez Cancer Fund”. In addition, Albert organized a fundraising effort at an art auction, held at Lori Salisbury Gallery in Nederland on June 20. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Andrea’s fund.

Anne T. Manley - USA

Currently working on two shows. One at the Grand Cru, in Baltimore, MD from July 1 - 31, 2009 and one at PlanB Gallery, Washington, DC from January 6- February 7, 2010

Bjorn Wefring - Norway

Bjorn's work "Productions" was recently acquired by the Coast Culture Museums in Norway. He work will also be on display in an exhibition on June 16th in Western Norway. Sonja The Queen of Norway will open the exhibition . Bjorn is given the mission guiding Her Majesty and show her the exhibition.

Cariappa Annaiah - USA

Traces of Memory International Art Exhibition presented by Trevisan International Art, Ferrara, Italy (November 2008). He also received three honorable mentions in the Fine Art section of the International Photo Awards 2008 competition sponsored by Pilsner Urquell. The entire competition attracted 22,000 entries from 124 countries. The three series were, "Fogged glass", "Metal" and "Chives" under "Droopy and Erect".

D. Loren Champlain - France

D. Loren Champlin's work will appear in juried 2nd art edition 'International Contemporary Masters 2009' . Editor/Curator Despina Tunberg. This book is scheduled to be published later on this year.

Iva Milanova - Germany

Now a member of the societe des artistes independants in Paris, France.

Jacquelyn Bond - USA

Her image was selected by the Innovators Combating Substance Abuse Program at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. The painting was chosen to be published in the 2008 Art and Addiction book and was also shown in two Art and Addiction Exhibitions, the first one being held at the headquarters for substance abuse and mental health services in Rockville, MD in May 08. the second exhibition in San Juan, Puerto Rico was held in conjunction with the annual meeting of the college on problems of drug dependence in June 08.

Jane Batalden Palmer - USA

Jane Batalden Palmer recently became a signature member of the Florida Watercolor Society.

Kristina Zallinger - USA

Artist Kristina Zallinger of Hamden, Connecticut recently received five Special Recognition Merit Awards for artwork in the "9th Annual Summer All Media Online International Art Exhibition” hosted by Upstream People Gallery. This international exhibition received approximately 250 entries from around the world and 45 artists were selected by the juror Larry Bradshaw, Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, U. S. A.

Leni Kae - Australia

Australian artist and trained colour therapist Leni Kae has been invited by the internal committee to represent Australian contemporary art at the upcoming international Florence Biennale 09.

Marvin Hines - USA

Marvin Hines will be donating his work ‘Split Shot Experiment’ to the Dallas Cowboys for a special event and auction. The event will raise funds for the young coach Rich Behm and his family.Rich Behm was paralyzed this past May in the collapse of the Cowboy's Irving training facility.

Matty Karp - Israel

Received two "Honorable Mentions" for photos submitted to "The 2008 International Photography Awards." The two photos selected appear in Art-Mine."Autumn II" is "Folliage 2006" and "Mist".

Michele Krauss - USA

She received the Dagny A. Hultgreen Award, 92nd Annual Juried Show Greenwich Art Society (2nd place)Jurist: Paul Master- Karnik, former director of the The Cordova Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts

Mustafa Gunen - Turkey

His work "Caught in a Gale", oil on canvas,43 x 80 in. (109.2 x 203.2.cm.) recently sold at Christie's.

Offer Goldfarb - Israel

Received an excellence award from Black and White magazine for collectors of fine photography. Out of 1270 portfolios from over the world they selected 15. Each of the selected artists will receive an article in issue (#68) of B&W Magazine - due out in June 2009

Oleda Baker - USA

The Museum of Florida Art, DeLand, Fl, will be exhibiting Oleda's paintings in their Chris Harris Collection Gallery. Dates are June 12 through August 24, 2009.

Pari Ravan - France

Was recently awarded the prize for art plastic at the Grand Prix International d'Arts Plastiques Nice. There were 300 parcipitating artists out of 32 countries.

Rahbek - Denmark

Rahbek relishes the opportunity to promote change through art and recently donated a painting to “A Race against Breast Cancer.”

Ricardo Lowenberg - Mexico

Article in “Chic Magazine” from Oct.5, 2008 on Ricardo Lowenberg, Masters of the Imagination: Latin America Fine Art Exhibition, Agora Gallery.

Ron Powell - REAP 13 - USA

Ron EA Powell's paintng - Escape - long to bleed, is the cover winner for Art Creation Magazine. In addition, The self-portrait publication titled Dimensions of Disclosure has been published. REAP13's JOHN 9:13 is featured on a full page layout in this book

Vanessa Chakour - USA

Artist, athlete, activist Vanessa Chakour, recently spoke at the United Nations Youth Assembly as an ambassador for Right to Play, an organization which uses sport and play as a vehicle to bring peace and joy into the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children in over 20 countries around the world. Vanessa, formerly a professional boxer, is among a select group of professional and Olympic athletes who support the wonderful work of Right to Play.
