Art Market Hamptons

August 11 - August 14, 2022 | Reception: June 9, 2022, 6-8 PM

Agora Gallery is thrilled to participate in Art Market Hamptons at Nova's Ark Project & Sculpture Park in Water Mill, New York from August 11 to 14, 2022. We will be showcasing a selection of original contemporary artworks by six artists from North America and Europe, ranging from paper collages, mixed media, and acrylic paintings. The work possesses a sophisticated urban quality that revitalizes the traditional Impressionist and Expressionist canons.

Texas-based painter and former graffiti artist, William Atkinson brings a flair of street art with his collages riddled with symbolism and pop culture that offer poignant commentaries on pressing social issues. Ronnie Genotti’s oil and acrylic abstract paintings draw on the artist’s personal experiences growing up in queer Detroit, touching on themes such as religion, bullying, and the impact of AIDS. Mark Schiff and Belle Roth delight the senses with dances of forms and color on expansive acrylic canvases, while Ellen Globokar’s hand-dyed rice paper collages of coastal landscapes appease the eye. Concluding the suite is Dutch painter Chantal Grevers, who offers a final resolution on the intrinsic duality of the human condition and explores man’s place in the world vis-a-vis nature’s menacing presence.
