Inquire Buy on ARTmineInspired by the vistas of Wyoming and the open west, Photographer Chace Gray crafts stunning images of illumination. The artist points her camera towards the sky as the sun dances along the edges of the clouds. Refusing to manipulate her images, Gray lets the natural world speak for itself. Like a painting, the sun seamlessly blends different colors together as the earth continuously rotates. From subtle blues to vibrant reds, Gray captures the beauty of this everyday tradition, honoring the passage of time and the light that allows us to see and make sense of the world around us.
The artist was born in Tokyo, Japan and has lived all over the world. She has worked as a fashion editor for Vogue, Glamour and Harpers Bazaar magazines, which gave her the change to learn from some of the world's top photographers. Gray focuses her lens on the Western United States as she captures the awe of magnificent vistas, the land of the Bighorn Mountains, and beauty on the plains of Wyoming. Gray employs an unfiltered approach that adds truth and authenticity to the work and lets her surroundings speak for themselves.
