German artist Sieglinde Scharf employs a unique technique to create abstract geometric paintings that read anew every time you view them. She begins by giving herself a rough pattern to follow, then allows her creativity to reign free, guided by her own intuition. Scharf works mostly with metallic-colored acrylic gels on colorfully primed linen. The results vary according to the time of day she paints ー whether in natural or artificial light ー producing works that surprise as much as they intrigue. Her meditative process produces a planet of circles in n. T. 28, a warped checkerboard in n. T. 02 and a spiral waves in n. T. 05.

Scharf has been a painter for 25 years, but is entirely self-taught; she focuses on refining her techniques over time, which she describes as continually evolving. The artist lives in Landshut, Germany.
