Eddy Verloes is a multi-award-winning photographer from Belgium. His atmospheric shots of interiors, landscapes, and urban life hover beautifully between realism and surrealism. Taking a spontaneous approach to the craft, Verloes captures the unexpected moments of the everyday. His studies of philosophy and literature fueled an inquisitive search for the mystical and poetic. At Agora Gallery, he presents work from his Losing Our Minds series, shot during the Covid-19 pandemic. The images picture a group of Orthodox jews on the Belgian shores, who–in Verloes’ own words–“Can enjoy their freedom in an unorthodox way in the storm of their lives and escape the lockdown.”
