Self taught photographer Alain Licari travels to countries including Cuba, Morocco, Haiti, and Ecuador photographing the local landscapes, peoples, and cultures in crisp, evocative black and white compositions. He seeks out harmonies in his environment and in his subjects, building a subtle narrative that is open and fluid.

Politics, socioeconomics, and diversity are key themes in Licari’s work. His deft attention to mise en scene results in humanistic photos in which the photographer captures a moment of genuine connection between real people.
