Arizona-born Daniel L. Randolph is a self-taught abstract artist whose colorful and often whimsical creations embody his overall vision of creative fun. His watercolor travel posters, commissioned by Pier One Imports and distributed throughout the United States, capture his comical imagination through landscapes and cityscapes with images of major European and American scenes. Many of Randolph’s works are based on his interpretation of natural elements and the female form. His humorous quirkiness is not reserved solely for the canvas as his sculptures share paint, brush, and marble to create delightful, yet thought-provoking images.

Randolph has created a unique artistic niche, which PBS acknowledged with a documentary on his life and work. With one of his paintings hanging in the White House he has earned a reputation as a major force in the art world, from owning and managing galleries and illustrating two books (“Joy of Birding” and “Trails of California”) to appearances on TV talk shows. A Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, Randolph is a two-time recipient of the Purple Heart.
