For Vargas, machines composed of mechanical parts are the main elements in his work, for which he has developed a new language called "Maquinismo."

The works titled Time Machine and Mutant Machine represent a new type of art that moves beyond the anthropocentric theme in the history of art. In these paintings, Vargas creates a pictorial event, free of all established movements that have preceded him.
