The centerpiece of the exhibition is a rare Andy Warhol drawing, Blue US Airmail Stamp and Shoe (1962), which is the only known example that combines the artist’s early commercial illustrations with a Pop image from the 1960s.
Andy Warhol (born Andrew Warhola Jr.; 1928–1987) was the leading exponent of the 1960s Pop Art movement. His revolutionary work subverted the canons of traditional artistic expression, by turning one-of-a-kind artworks into objects of mass commodification, in response to the banality of post-war consumer culture.

David DeSimone is an American Artist who creates oil paintings of his urban and domestic surroundings. His paintings incorporate an elicit Pop Art aesthetic through the use of utilitarian objects in his still-lifes and commercial signs in his urban landscapes. The practicality and functionality of these commercial objects changes in DeSimone’s artwork and take a life and symbolism of their own.
