Solitude, Introspection, & Surrealism

March 4 - July 21, 2020 | Reception: May 5, 2020, 6-8 PM

Agora Gallery’s exhibition, Solitude, Introspection, & Surrealism featured the works of 13 represented artists. The exhibition featured Mixed media abstracts, Victorian-styled drawings, vibrantly colored portraits, scenes from Americana photographs, and sprightly imagined landscapes, each with compelling stories in relation to the theme. The artists’ talents were showcased through a variety of artistic genres and dynamic pieces. The represented artists included Howard Harris, Mana, Susan Whitfield, Linda Behar, Gabriella Mirabelli, Jennifer Valenzuela, Sal Ponce Enrile, Marilyn Miller, Hap Garrett, Else Husted Kjær, Michael Shelef, markpizzaArt, and Jeine Roque. The artists came from varying cultures and had distinctly individual stories. Yet, their works touched upon the communal themes of the exhibition, allowing viewers to muse, relate, and take them to their surreal places of solitude and introspection.
