Marie Anne Baron
December 5 - December 9, 2018
Reception: Thursday, December 5, 2018, 6-8 PM
InquireCaught between the rush of the metropolis and the solitude of the country, artist Marie Anne Baron captures the duality of the human experience. Her paintings typically feature a lone figure wandering through time and space as they search for some sense of belonging.
Set against an eerie backdrop, landscape or pattern, Baron’s figures seem to reflect on their life choices as they confront their own isolation and detachment from reality. Tackling issues of abandonment, doubt, and mental health, Baron shows us the inherent isolation that comes with being an artist.
