Artist Martha Dominguez describes her work as a series of conceptually-based sociopolitical graphics. Layering her text on top of itself, Dominguez morphs this four-letter curse word into a visual tool. At once a hateful slur and, at times, an everyday expression, the artist uses the F-word to convey a range of emotions, from anger and disillusionment to casual indifference.

In the digital age, Dominguez shows how simple texts and instant messages are not equipped to handle the complexities of contemporary life, drowning the viewer in a sea of one-word responses.
