Born in Hefei, China, Erin Yueying Wang chose to pursue her unspoken autobiographical reality through photographic technique and imagery. With an academic background in Landscape Architecture from Chongqing University and a BFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design, she continues to document her silent rhetoric through her own traveler’s impression, absorbing the changing scenery of daily life. These fleeting moments in time act as her autobiography; they are snapshots of her life, her childhood, and her travels. She shares her questions about time, love, and the meaning of life through her lens.

Wang combines drone, scanner, projector, and printmaking techniques into her process, layering manipulated images atop traditional photos.  Manga and Anime, Ancient Chinese art, and Abstract Expressionism have been influential in Wang’s artistic process. The artist has been recognized by Saatchi Art 2021’s “100 New Voices” and was a Saatchi Art 2020 Rising Star.
