Spanish artist Gus, creates digitally manipulated photographs of scenes taken from everyday life or taken in the studio and transforms them into scenes of illusion. He creates scenes in his mind and designs them from beginning to end, drawing the viewer into his surreal ideations. He has fully immersed himself in the art world over the years, generating ideas from the masters of art history. He draws inspiration from social issues including the suffering of displaced peoples as refugees and climate change, while also sourcing themes in playful political commentary. His goal as an artist is to communicate his life ethos: "You can take something beautiful out of every moment and enjoy it. To see and enjoy everyday scenes in a somewhat surreal way is a sensation that should be enjoyed by more. Dreaming is priceless and enriching."

While he has been creating for over 20 years, Gus only introduced his vast portfolio to the public eye in 2018. In just two years, he has been awarded several prestigious international prizes, including notably the "Absolute Winner" at the Juan Antonio Sequi competition in Tarancón, Spain, or IPA AWARDS 2019. and is invited to many international exhibitions where he participates regularly.
