As an experienced Bulgarian photographer of nearly 20 years, Svetlin Yosifov has travelled to primal, natural places such as India, Ethiopia, Kenya, Indonesia, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia. The artist defines himself as a “travel-documentary-art photographer” and is drawn to capturing the street portraits of individuals he encounters in his travels. The impact of a single photo, he believes, comes from the emotion it reflects.

Much like the world we inhabit, Svetlin’s photographs are both subjective and objective. With imagery that scares and fascinates the soul, Yosifov hopes they will leave and impact on his viewers long after he is gone
