Inquire“The creation of my work revolves around memory and identity,” Adriana Espinosa Calle says, pointing to the facts, protagonists, and physical spaces—be they personal or historical—that form a unique life. Espinosa Calle is interested in the traces left behind, particularly those of people in American continents , from the petroglyph to the bar code. Her mixed-media drawings combine travel documents with portraiture, watercolors, and scattered symbols. Ultimately, she would like her drawings to inspire reflection on the importance of origin in the construction of identity.
Adriana Espinosa Calle lives in Chia, Colombia, and works in Bogotá.
