InquireThe realist paintings of Allen Capriotti combine history, technique, and science to create pieces that go beyond photorealism and can only be fully appreciated in person. Capriotti paints the people and objects he sees everyday with an obsessive attention to detail, finding truth in minutiae. Yet his paintings are so much more than what’s visible to the naked eye: they start with a concept, then Capriotti looks for people and settings best suited for bringing his ideas to life. The result are works with a universal message and appeal.
