Argentinian photographer Andres Marcolla’s minimalist works seamlessly synthesize color and form through both framing and composition. Working predominantly in digital color photography, the artist’s recent body of work is based on the different kinds of encounters and interactions between the natural and the urban world.
The artist portrays how nature welcomes us and allows us to take part in it. A beach landscape with an immense, clear blue sky littered with tiny pastel-colored parasols exudes both tranquility and serenity, where visitors enjoy the air and space they lack in city life. The scale of the composition reminds us that we are just little dots of color in the horizon, much like our individual existence in the universe.
