InquireThe drive for life and the drive for death are often concealed in the human world, whereas they exist out in the open in the natural world. The transience of these notions filter through in Masato Ugumori’s photographs. Through the exploration of life and sex, Ugumori highlights that the appetites and urges that dwell in people are often destructive. Conversely, the same elements in nature are eternally pure and honest.
Masato’s images transcend the original meaning of their photographic subjects and what emerges is a personal world of impressionistic scenery.
