InquireAgora Gallery is pleased to be showing the work of Mat Gasparek. His winning participation in The 34th Chelsea International Fine Art Competition has earned Mat a digital display with a presentation of selected artwork within the gallery.
Gasparek’s bold strokes invoke his influence, as he notes, “By my experiences growing up under American capitalism, particularly my skepticism towards images in mass and social media and their relationship to reality.” By exploiting visual disruptions, spatial contradictions and ambiguities of language within his paintings, Gasparek exposes their constructed nature and our perceptual propensities for being deceived.
Gasparek's work will be on digital display August 10 - 20, 2019.
