British photographer ‘Streetmax21’ takes an observational view of how circumstances govern behavior, both individually and socially. He interrogates society’s attempt at mass connection through modern technology at the expense of individual connection and genuine experience. His scenes of figures in an urban or architectural setting interact to create enigmatic dialogues, as the figures take on the look of automatons acting out prescribed scenes. At a time when it’s becoming harder to discern what is human and what isn’t, their isolation from each other emphasizes an unreal and machine-like formality.
