Inspired by the intermittent, sometimes sudden and unpredictable weather in Singapore, Leonard Yang alters location photographs, shifting hues to imitate changing weather patterns. The resulting simulacra are an ode to sudden rain showers and the purple-hued sky that lingers over the city when the air is laden with particulate matter. Singapore is a fast-paced and systematic city, but it has its beautifully captivating moments too. This is what Yang seeks to capture in this series. Leonard Yang is a Singaporean artist currently based in New York. He will be pursuing a Master's in Fine Art at Parsons School of Design from Fall 2017.
