Bulgarian-born sculptor Latchezar Boyadjiev stands as a leading figure in contemporary glass art, pushing the boundaries of the medium with his dynamic and emotive creations. Based in Novato, California, Boyadjiev's sculptural journey began with over a decade of mastery in optical glass, utilizing cold working techniques to craft intricate sculptures that showcased his technical prowess. However, driven by a desire to explore larger dimensions, he ventured into casting, opening new avenues for his artistic expression.

Boyadjiev's sculptural repertoire transcends conventional labels, as his ethereal creations bear simple titles reflecting emotions. His works evoke sensuality and the natural forces, embodying fluidity through fragmented planes of color. Reflecting on his craft, Boyadjiev expresses a mission to integrate beauty into modern architecture, making his sculptures an integral part of contemporary environments that mirror our era.

Boyadjiev studied at the Academy of Arts in Sofia and the Academy of  Art, Architecture and Design in Prague and had over fifty solo exhibitions internationally. He is the recipient of numerous awards and his work is placed in prominent collections all over the world, including the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, the Museum of Applied Arts in Prague, the White House in Washington, D.C., and the New Mexico Museum of Art in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
