Banerjee draws inspiration for her work from her experiences and travels–particularly in the country of India, which she loves for its vivid colors and vibrant energy. Banerjee was born in the US, but currently makes her home in New Delhi, India. In portraying the animals she sees in her daily life, Banerjee hopes her work increases awareness of how the wild creatures of the world are affected by a changing natural landscape.
