Félix cites human experiences and emotions as a primary point of inspiration, celebrating well-known figures who inspire her and others to continue striving for self-improvement. Her exploration of the nature of celebrity seeps into the style in which she executes her portraits. In one, Pavarotti's mouth is open in an eternal note, and watercolors flow as if any second he will shift to the next spot in the melody, while Baryshnikov is shadowed by tense, photorealistic oil paints. Félix ensures that each figure is best expressed in paint, deftly shifting techniques in honor of each figure. Félix has been painting since childhood and considers the work to be a fulfilling and essential part of her life. She lives and works in Sinaloa, Mexico.
