フリオロペスビエトリ

問い合わせる

建築家および artist としての訓練を受け、 フリオロペスビエトリ creates images that combine spontaneity with a highly developed eye for structure. Working on canvas and cardboard, in media ranging from oil paints to cloth, corrugated paper, screws and bolts, Vietri bridges the gap between collage and painting. Whether he is layering materials over each other or producing the appearance of depth and space through a disciplined handling of light and shadow, the artist gives each image a boldly physical presence. While he notes that his work “does not aim at realism,” even the most abstract shape or form takes on a life of its own. Elements of constructivist art and surrealism can be seen in Vietri’s work. Starting from precise shapes and forms, the scope of his paintings expands, manipulating perspective and space to result in a depiction of the world of dreams and the unconscious. “I try to project myself into an uncertain future,” the artist says, and that sense of exploration and experimentation gives his work its unique appeal. The artist lives and works in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
